World Poker Tour Partners With ClubWPT to Offer VIP Poker Players a Lucrative Tournament

World Poker Tour is again partnering with its online poker membership site ClubWPT to host a lucrative challenge with up to $200,000 up for grabs. The event brings together loyal players at a live Las Vegas table for a chance to walk away with a $50,000 first-place prize. The challenge is set to run for a consecutive six-month period, starting from November 7 to April 21. This period will cover satellites and qualifiers, culminating in six heaters who will face off in the finals. The event is dubbed the $200,000 ClubWPT TV Challenge.

How the $200,000 ClubWPT TV Challenge Will Take Place

Since the challenge will attract players in large numbers, the first part will take place online as a necessary precaution to stay safe from COVID-19. Besides getting a winner who will appear at the Main Event, the challenge also seeks to reward up to 63 top players every month. For instance, the second-place winner will be getting $2,500 while the last ones occupying 55th up to 63rd positions get $20 each. Each month will culminate in a final to be played every last Sunday, with up to 500 players participating.

Allowances for the Main Event’s Qualifiers

It is important to note that the finals will only attract players with ClubWPT’s VIP and Diamond memberships. Players who make it to the Main Event’s live table will receive a table package of up to $10,000 cash for playing and $3,000 for travel allowances. The final six players will converge at HyperX Esports Arena Las Vegas, where the event will air live on WPT’s official social media platforms; Twitch and Facebook.

The Main Event’s date is yet to be confirmed, as organizers raise concerns on the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Should the situation remain fluid, the finals will be forced to play on ClubWPT.com.

How Will the Final Table Payouts Look Like?

Players who make it to the final table have a lot to smile for, given that the organizers don’t dictate how they can spend their travel allowance. Moreover, every player who makes it to Las Vegas will walk away with a cash prize, regardless of what position they win. As mentioned earlier, the first position bags $50,000, while the second and third positions walk away with $18,000 and $15,000, respectively. The fourth and fifth positions will take $13,000 and $11,000, respectively, while the last gets to walk with $10,000.

In other words, everyone at least gets to win back their playing allowances.

Accessing the Membership Platform at ClubWPT

ClubWPT offers varying subscription bundles that could land you either a VIP or Diamond membership access to the online platform. The subscription is renewed monthly, giving members access to unlimited seats and cash prize winnings in World Poker Tour events. The best thing is that members have up to $100,000 in guaranteed cash and prizes every month. Moreover, players with Diamond membership also have unlimited free access to LearnWPT’s Insider Access Plan, which would otherwise cost them a $99 monthly subscription.

Finally, poker players have something to keep them busy for the next six months. If you believe in your skills, give it a shot to appear in the Main Event’s final table.
