Vdara Hotel and Spa Review

When the massive CityCenter project was being proposed for a lot of land on Las Vegas Boulevard, there were several exciting new options coming to the Strip. Several of the towers being considered did not offer casinos, and such is the case with the Vdara Hotel and Spa. This isn’t too much of a concern for visitors to the property, though, as the Aria casino is in the same complex. Let’s take a look at Vdara to see what makes it stand out from the crowded Las Vegas accommodation space.

A brief history of Vdara Hotel and Spa

Constructed in the mid-2000s, Vdara was the first of the towers at CityCenter to be completed. This is likely due to the type of facility it was going to become. The 1,495 suites in Vdara are all privately owned condominiums, which can be leased out as hotel rooms when owners are not in the property. In essence, it is the opposite of a timeshare as there is one owner, but the rooms are still maintained by MGM.

One of the interesting design elements of Vdara is the shape of the tower, resulting in six corner suites per floor as opposed to the standard four. This means more guests have access to spectacular views of the Strip and the mountains.

Gaming at Vdara Hotel and Spa

As we mentioned, Vdara does not have a casino of its own, so if you want to gamble without leaving CityCenter, you can do so by playing at Aria (see our Aria review page for full details on the casino).

The One Thing You Can’t Miss at Vdara Hotel and Spa

If there was a way to limit this section to one thing, we would have done it. However, the first thing you can’t miss if you are staying at Vdara is the spa itself.
